Ceramics

Handbuilding, Wheel Throwing & much more…

Introduction

Everyone is welcomed, from beginners to proficiondos.

Beginners have classes with a direct, hands-on learning experience, aimed at making you comfortable and inspired to use the studio independently, outside of class time, and enjoy work-playing with clay.

Experienced ceramicists, working independent of class times, will find this space well equipped and user friendly. You can use the studio on a per week basis ( Tuesday – Saturday), with a low studio fee and firing charges.

Kids Ceramics, is on Saturday mornings for 2 hours.  Kids under 9 must have an adult attending to help them during class time.  Projects vary and kids can choose a project to make. Slip is used for color by the student, and we apply clear glaze to have the project ready for pick up 2 weeks after class day.

Open Studio is the time the building is open and the studio is available to use. If you are registered in a multi-week class or for Open Studio, you can come in and work-play during those hours.  Tuesday – Saturday , 9am – 5pm  and 5pm – 9pm with prior arrangement

There are staff members who can give quick help and advise, during Open Studio, when you are at a loss, stuck, or spinning your wheels.

WHAT YOUR REGISTRATION IN CLASSES AND OPEN STUDIO GIVES YOU :

Our goal is to assist you in exploring the possibilities of ceramics, because creating with clay enlivens the Mind and energizes the Spirit.  We have a passion for studio endeavors and want to share it with you. We do that by providing tools and space, materials, instruction, supportive environment, and opportunities to pursue your maker goals. The energy you bring into the studio is just as important as what we might be able to provide to you. We look forward to having you work with us in the studio.
